إعلام البلدية:
تواصل بلدية غزة جهودها الحثيثة للتخفيف من الكارثة الصحية والبيئية التي تعاني منها المدينة نتيجة تكدس أكثر من (260) ألف طن من النفايات في الشوارع والمكبات داخل قلب المدينة، حيث تواصل طواقم البلدية تنفيذ أعمال الجمع الأولي للنفايات وتنظيف الشوارع الرئيسة، رغم قلة الإمكانات المتاحة.
وتعاني بلدية غزة أزمة حقيقية جراء تدمير الاحتلال نحو (85%) من الآليات، وعدم توفر معدات جديدة لجمع النفايات وتقديم الخدمات الأخرى، بالإضافة إلى منع طواقم البلدية من الوصول إلى المكب الرئيس شرق المدينة منذ نحو عامين.
وتناشد بلدية غزة المجتمع الدولي التدخل العاجل لتوفير الاحتياجات الطارئة، ومساندتها في إنقاذ الحياة الإنسانية داخل المدينة.
Gaza Municipality: Intensive Efforts to Mitigate the Health and Environmental Disaster Despite Limited Resources
The Gaza Municipality continues its tireless efforts to mitigate the ongoing health and environmental disaster afflicting the city, caused by the accumulation of more than 260,000 tons of solid waste in the streets and dumps across its central areas. Despite the severe shortage of resources, municipal crews persist in carrying out primary waste collection and cleaning operations along main streets.
The municipality is facing a severe crisis due to the destruction of nearly 85% of its vehicles and heavy equipment by the Israeli occupation, the lack of new machinery for waste collection and other essential services, and the continued denial of access for municipal teams to the main landfill site east of the city for almost two years.
Gaza Municipality urgently calls on the international community to intervene immediately, provide the necessary emergency assistance, and support its efforts to safeguard human life and restore basic services throughout the city.
